May the Best Man Win

Luiz and Lucky shared a glorious first love on General Hospital, a storyline that reminded many of Lucky’s iconic parents Luke and Laura, but with their own twist. Their love struggled to overcome her rape and Lucky’s presumed death.  Liz would later become involved with Jason Morgan in a dangerous flirtation that annoyed Lucky’s brother Nikolas.  For Liz and Jason, however, their timing was never right.  Lucky’s (Jacob Young) return from the grave led to friction between the two men before Lucky slept with her sister Sarah. Liz eventually became involved with Zander for some questionable one night stands that resulted in son Cameron.  She later married Ric Lansing, believing he genuinely loved her and while he may have, he abused that love and used her to rub it in Jason’s face.

When Lucky (Greg Vaughan) and Liz finally married, bills and a bad injury, coupled with Jason saving Elizabeth when Lucky couldn’t, led Lucky down a dark path of addiction and eventually shattered his marriage to Liz when he began an affair with Maxie.  Liz found comfort with Jason and became pregnant with Jake.  The Liz and Jason relationship, however much they cared for each other, couldn’t seem to overcome the hurdle of his life.  Still, deeply in love, they’ve allowed life to keep pulling them apart to protect their son.  Lucky and Liz still remain at odds over many subjects and Liz and Nikolas’ relationship grew deeper following Emily’s death. 

Now with Jonathon Jackson returning to the show, Liz and Lucky fans are exhultant that the couple they loved so much in the 90s are genuinely back on screen together. But with Natalia Livingston leaving the show, Nikolas’ passion for Elizabeth growing, which man will ultimately take Liz’s heart?  Will it be first love Lucky? Long-time love and passion Jason? Or the promise of new and potentially dangerous love Nikolas?
