Bridget and Nick Say I Do - Again

Maybe the third time will be the charm for Nick and Bridget, but I still can’t get past the ick factor. Nick was married to Brooke. He’s been involved with Felicia and Katie and more. But that is what makes The Bold and the Beautiful such a guilty pleasure. The tight focus on the Forrester and Logan families leaves little room for characters who aren’t involved with one or both families.

Characters like Dante, for example, come and go. Clarke is an exception to this rule, he’s been around for decades first involved with Kristin Forrester and later Sally Spectra. Now Nick has him keeping an eye on Jackie (word to Nick, that’s like asking the fox to babysit the chicken coup).

Let’s get back to Nick and Bridget, though. Bridget is a former doctor turned fashion designer. She is the daughter of Brooke and Eric. Initially, she was believed to be Ridge’s child and he raised her that way for some time, but then we found out about the twisted paternity test (thank you Sheila).  Bridget’s always had a bit of a complex where her mother is concerned (her mother sleeping with husband Deacon couldn’t have helped), but the women seem to be more like sisters these days than mother and daughter.

Now Bridget is a step mother to her cousin and sister-in-law to her step-father, again. But then, her aunt is married to her father and—well, if you don’t know, it might make your head hurt to explain it.  Do you think the third time will be the charm for Bridget and Nick?  Or is her mother’s detonating relationship with Ridge (how many times is this now) an omen of things to come?
