Young and the Restless Comings and Goings

From LoveToKnow Soap-Operas

Young and the Restless comings and goings can mean saying hello and goodbye to fan favorites.

About Young and the Restless Comings and Goings

Daytime soap opera Young and the Restless has been the number one rated soap on daytime for nearly two decades. The show prides itself on the relative steadiness of the cast and the number of former stars that return for storyline appearances. Actress Beth Maitland returns frequently to reprise her role as Tracy Abbott while actor Don Diamont left and returned. Actor Shemar Moore left Y&R to pursue prime time opportunities, returning briefly when between jobs.

Sometimes, new faces come to play old roles. For example, Stacy Haiduk, joined Young and the Restless in 2009 as Mary Jane Benson. The character was a disguise for a legacy character returning to the show, that of Patty Williams. Recasting a familiar face is big news, such as when Peter Bergman joined in the role of Jack Abbott when the wildly popular Terry Lester left the part.

Tense contract negotiations nearly resulted in the loss of two long-time veteran actresses in 2009: Jess Walton and Melody Thomas Scott.

All these Young and the Restless comings and goings were reported by the fan sites, soap opera news sites and spoiler message boards because the comings and goings of actors and actresses suggests changes in the storyline.

Keeping Up with the Newmans

His return, though rumored, was passed off as flashbacks. His arrival coincided with the return of another veteran: Tricia Cast. The storyline played out multiple beats of history on the daytime drama. Actress Lauralee Bell was pursued to return to the show in her role as Christine Blair Williams, but the actress refused.

Sabrina, hang in there. I am hoping that Braeden is not done for good and that the contract issues will be resolved. Genoa City without Victor will be an odd place to say the least.

If Victor leaves the show I know alot of people including myself wont be watching, in fact I believe the rating dropped when there was word that Nicky wasnt coming back,Quite a few of us didnt watch for a month till Nicky came back.Adam must get caught cause that is just stupid to carry this on and on.

I was very upset to read that Eric Braeden might leave Young and the Restless. He's the main actor and his role as Victor just makes the soap one I want to watch. No one else could replace him. Please do your best to keep him on the show. The story lines have been a little far out but I enjoy his charactor. He does it so well.
