True Blood Season 2
From LoveToKnow Soap-Operas
Fans have been talking about True Blood season 2 since the first season ended in November 2008. The series by Alan Ball (Six Feet Under) is based on the popular series of Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris.
Meet Sookie Stackhouse
Sookie Stackhouse is a telepathic waitress who works at Merlotte’s Bar in the small, Louisiana town of Bon Temps. Sookie is a bit of an oddity in her town, where everyone knows she can hear things or knows things she shouldn’t. But, she's not the most unusual citizen of the small town.
when the Japanese invented synthetic blood (called True Blood) the vampires announced their existence to the world. In Season One of True Blood, Sookie met Bill Compton, a vampire who lives in Bon Temps. Sookie is attracted to Bill, while others are afraid of him and a serial killer keeps things turned upside down in the small town.
By the time True Blood season 2 begins, Sookie and Bill are officially an item, but Bill’s keeping secrets from Sookie: he turned young teen Jessica and he killed Sookie’s child-molesting Uncle Bartlett.
Living Dead in Dallas
The series premiere of True Blood’s second season diverts from the second book Living Dead in Dallas when the identity of the body in the back of the car does not belong to the same character who turned up dead in the book. While the series is based on the books, the show deviates in several key areas including Jason’s beefed up role, Lafayette’s survival, the increased drainer storylines and storyline plans for season 2 seem to be following along with season 1.
True Blood Season 2 Episodes
Michelle Forbes (ex-Sonni/Solita, Guiding Light) and Ashley Jones (Bridget Forrester, Bold and the Beautiful) join the stellar cast of True Blood in the roles of Mary Ann and Daphne. Mary Ann shares a past with Sam, she’s also providing a home for Sookie’s best friend Tara and Eggs (a character familiar to series readers). Sam’s history with Mary Ann makes him wary of the woman.
In the meanwhile, Jason is being seduced by a belief in the Fellowship of the Sun, a radical, fundamentalist movement that hates vampires. Sookie doesn’t want any part of her Uncle Bartlett’s money so she passes it to Jason. Jason plans to attend a leadership conference with the Fellowship of the Sun with that money, putting Jason on a possible collision course with his sister.
In Season 2, Bill will need Eric’s help to save Sookie’s life after she is attacked by a mysterious creature. Eric, Sookie and Bill will also travel to the city of Dallas to investigate a vampire mystery. Eric’s interest in Sookie and her abilities will grow while Sookie and Bill’s relationship continues to face challenges both from the past, present and future.
In Bon Temps, Sam will struggle with who and what he is as Mary Ann works her will on the good folk of the town. Jason will struggle with his faith in the divine, his friends and himself. The rich and spicy show promises a fangtastic ride.
