Guiding Light spoilers focus on the families that viewers turn in to see. The Bauer family has been a staple of the soap for decades beginning with matriarch Bert and later her children and grandchildren. The annual Bauer barbecue is an event that takes place every July and often provides the forum of characters to interact.

Spoilers revealed the return of Phillip Spaulding to the canvas in the 90s as well as other popular characters. Reva Shayne

Reva Shayne, played by fan favorite Kim Zimmer, was introduced in 1983. Her relationships have played out for over 2 decades with her various relationships. The teen love of Billy Lewis, she bore him a child that was later given up for adoption. She has the distinction of marrying all three Lewis men, brothers Billy and Josh as well as their father H.B.

One of the great spoilers of the late 1990s was the Reva clone storyline. Fans were outraged and intrigued at the same time as Josh Lewis’ love for Reva drove him to create a clone of her after her ‘death.’ The clone storyline was a definite daytime first and the ripples from that storyline, popular or not, played out for years.

More recently, spoilers revealed that Josh and Reva would return to Cross Creek, the site of their legendary wedding in the 80s. Their return is precipitated by the onscreen filming of Reva Shayne’s life and despite Josh’s involvement with Reva’s long-lost sister Cassie, fans still long for these two to be together.

Springfield is the third name for the town the residents occupy on the show. Originally, they lived in Five Points and Selby Flats, only later did they move to the fictional town of Springfield, Illinois.
