The cast of General Hospital features many notable actors and actresses. Anthony Geary, for example, who began his tenure as globe trotting adventurer Luke Spencer in the 70s and earned many Daytime Emmy award nominations and won the most Daytime Emmys for Lead Actor.

Eva Longoria

Eva may be a desperate housewife these days in the roll of Gabrielle Solis, but she appeared on General Hospital as a Brenda lookalike. Prior to her role on DH, she appeared on The Young and the Restless as well as Bold and the Beautiful.

June Lockhart

June Lockhart played many famous mothers throughout her career including the first Ruth Martin (the mother of little Timmy) on Lassie as well as Dr. Maureen Robinson on the 60s cult hit Lost in Space. On General Hospital, she portrayed Maria Ramirez, Felicia Jones' beloved grandmother.

Ricky Martin

Following in a long line of pop sensations who called General Hospital home, Ricky Martin of Menudo fame began Living in La Vida Loca Port Charles style in 1994 as Miguel Morez, the first love of Sonny's beloved Lily. Miguel was involved with Brenda and he was one of the first recording stars to sign with L&B Records.

Demi Moore

Before she felt St. Elmo's Fire, Demi gained her early fame playing the intrepid Jackie Templton for a year from 1982 to 1983. Jackie adventured with Luke and became involved with Robert Scorpio.

John Stamos

Long before he met the Olson twins, John Stamos starred on General Hospital as Blackie Parrish. Blackie rolled into town, a tough, but lonely street kid. He was taken in by Drs. Rick and Lesley Webber. Blackie worked hard to make his music band a success and his manager brought in a front man singer, Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner). But when Blackie stole a song because he was feeling pressure to produce a hit, he was involved in the accidental death of his former girlfriend Lou. Feeling remorse for where his greed led him, Blackie ended up pleading guilty to manslaughter and was sent to prison for 10 years.

Future Stars

Future lists of popular General Hospital actors who make it big in primetime or film may include Brandon Barash, Julie Marie Berman and Dylan Cash, but only time will tell.
