Like in all soap operas, life moves rather quickly. For example, one minute, a child is born and the next minute, they're getting ready to go to high school and a week later, they're old enough to have a drink down at Jake's (is that the only bar in Port Charles?). Unfortunately, most of us lead very busy lives and don't have the time to sit down and watch a five hour General Hospital marathon on our DVR's or on SoapNet. Reading GH scoops and spoilers is the perfect way to get up to speed. Plus, there is no fumbling with the remote to fast forward through scenes you don't really want to see like…surprise, surprise, Luke left town again or Sonny is in the middle of a mob war.

Where to Find GH Scoops and Spoilers

Here is a list of links where you can find the latest dish on General Hospital. A word of advice though, if you don't want to know what is supposed to happen in the future on GH stick with the scoops and skip the spoilers.

Soap Zone – Get short, easy to read scoops and recaps of recent episodes. Soap Zone also gives you a little teaser as to what's coming up on the show for the following week.
Soap Central – This website offers a few recaps, but also has the dish on what's planned for the following week and in the near future. Of course, the spoilers are teasers and Soap Central doesn't share specifics, only generalities like "Sonny proves that he's even more dangerous than ever." So, no spoiler alert necessary here.
TV Megasite - Though the list of spoilers on TV Megasite isn't as long as some of the other scoops and spoilers site, they give you all the dirty details as to what's happened and what's going to happen in Port Charles in the near future.

How Quickly Things Change

Even though all the writers for GH scoops and spoilers news try their best to stay on top of the latest dish for General Hospital things can sometimes change and what they say is supposed to happen, doesn't. This happens very rarely though, so you can be pretty confident in the fact that if you read something like two main characters are supposed to hook up on the show, they will…eventually. When you read that writer's are planning to kill off a certain character, that's a little bit more sketchy.

What to Watch Out For

If you've ever stood in line at the grocery store (and really, who hasn't?) and you glance at a cover of a soap opera magazine like Soap Opera Digest and happen to notice, say, Sonny and Jason on the cover with a tagline like "Who Dies?", it doesn't necessarily mean that Maurice Bernard or Steve Burton is leaving the show. If you're a huge General Hospital fan, you know that those two have come and gone at least a dozen times over the years.

Another thing to look out for is when certain characters are in "contract negotiations" and rumor has it, they will be leaving the show soon as well. This is also not necessarily true, but it has happened in the past, like when fan favorite Genie Francis left the show years ago. She actually did leave due to the inability for the General Hospital execs and herself to come to a satisfactory comprise regarding her contract.

Reading scoops and spoilers is a great way to not only catch up on GH, but to get find out when the next major event is going to happen in Port Charles.
