• Hayley Tamaddon as Delilah Dingle, a sweet, well-to-do character who stood out in the Dingle family for being genuinely kind. She was last seen on screens in 2007.
• Roxanne Pallett as Josephine Sugden, one of the sexiest women to hit Emmerdale in years. She enticed many of the locals, and left the program in 2008.
• Sammy Winward as Katie Sugden, a woman who endured her fair share of controversies, including an affair with her boyfriend's brother.
• Sheree Murphy as Tricia Dingle, who became an immediate hit with the locals and had her share of fun with men. Dingle died in 2004 when she went into cardiac arrest after a chimney crushed her.

The Emmerdale cast is quite diverse, and many of the females consistently grace the covers of British soap opera magazines. Some of the more widely recognized members include:

• Emily Symons as Louise Appleton, who's made waves since she first arrived in Emmerdale in 2001. The Australian is known for her bubbly, bright persona and classic good looks.
• Jenna-Louise Coleman as Jasmine Thomas, the village vicar's niece who memorably killed a policeman in self-defense.
• Charley Webb as Debbie Dingle, who was an accessory to the murder Jasmine committed. She's also always out for herself and thinks nothing of anyone who gets in her way – family included.
• Lucy Pargeter as Chastity Dingle, who made her first appearance as a stripper (dressed as a nun) and whose penchant for revealing outfits has made quite popular.
• Verity Rushworth as Donna Windsor-Dingle is yet another Dingle family member who's made her mark in the village. She's been a surrogate mother and has been involved in countless intriguing storylines.
