Dana Delaney began her acting career in the world of daytime soaps, playing roles on Love of Life and As the World Turns. Prior to joining the Desperate Housewives cast as new neighbor Katherine Mayfair, Delaney's most popular role was as a strong, brave Army nurse on the popular primetime program China Beach.

Felicity Huffman

Actress Felicity Huffman plays the role of multi-tasking mom, wife, and entrepreneur Lynette Scavo to perfection. In this role, Scavo deals with whatever life hands her with grace and aplomb, including a personal battle with cancer, opening her home to her husband's motherless love child, and a troubled relationship with her own mother. Prior to joining the cast of Desperate Housewives, Huffman played the role of a plucky television producer on Sports Night. Teri Hatcher

Before Desperate Housewives, Teri Hatcher was most widely recognized for her role as Lois in the long-running prime time drama Lois and Clark. In her role as Susan Mayer Delfino, Hatcher plays a devoted mom to teenage daughter Julie, loving and supportive wife to new husband Mike, and loving mom to new baby.

Eva Longoria Parker

Actress Eva Longoria Parker started out on daytime drama The Young and the Restless. You can see clips of her performances on YouTube. She also appeared on General Hospital and the Bold and the Beautiful before joining the cast of Desperate Housewives. Longoria Parker plays the plucky and determined Gabrielle Solis to perfection, giving depth and charm to a character who could easily come across as shallow and calculating by a lesser actress.

Nicollette Sheridan

Nicolette Sheridan made her television debut in the early 1980s on the short lived prime time drama Paper Dolls. She became a star on Knots Landing, one of the most popular prime time dramas of all time. She plays the role of cynical and sexy divorcee Edie Britt to perfection on Desperate Housewives.

Ricardo Antonio Chavira

Ricardo Antonio Chavira earned his Master of Fine Arts from The University of California – San Diego before moving to Los Angeles and pursuing an acting career. He quickly began landing roles, accumulating screen credits that include a recurring role on Six Feet Under and guest spots on Joan of Arcadia and 24. Chavira's role as Carlos Solis on Desperate Housewives skyrocketed his career status from that of working actor to superstar. Married to the lovely Gabrielle, Carlos has faced many tribulations on the show, including prison, extramarital affairs (his and his wife's), and blindness.

James Denton

James Denton's acting career began on the stage. After moving from Chicago to Los Angeles, the actor landed a recurring role on The Pretender before making it big on Desperate Housewives. Denton has played Mike Delfino since the show's inaugural season, during which time the character became a victim of a hit and run, suffered from amnesia, became a drug addict, gotten married, and became a father.

Kyle MacLachlan

Kyle MacLachlan has played popular characters on several hit television programs, including Twin Peaks and Sex and the City. He is also no stranger to the big screen, with roles in both Dune and Blue Velvet. As Orson Hodge, MacLachlan plays the orthodontist husband of persnickety Bree, and he just happened to have been the culprit behind the wheel of the hit and run that struck Mike Delfino.

Doug Savant

Prior to joining the Desperate Housewives cast list, Doug Savant was most widely recognized for his groundbreaking role as Matt Fielding on Melrose Place. In this role, Savant played an openly gay man long before such subject matter was commonplace on prime time television.
