Tell us about Daphne
She's a great character. Unlike anything I've ever played before. Feisty, funny, clumsy, sexy. She appears again in the second season finale.
What’s your favorite part of working on True Blood?
Working for such an acclaimed group of people, from the network, to Alan Ball, to the actors and producers and crew. I love the family there. They all work very hard, putting in their blood, sweat and tears.
Did you have any scenes you were uncomfortable with filming?
No, not really. The individual directors were each very accommodating. The short shorts were always super fun to put on!! I felt like it was a show you needed to make sure you kept logging in those treadmill hours because the envelope does get slowly pushed.
Who was your favorite actor to play off of on True Blood?
Well, I worked with Sam Trammell a lot.... I have to say, he is simply the best. I loved working with all of them. Each actor has nuances that I relished. Carrie Preston, Todd Lowe, Anna, of course, Alex, Nelsan, Rutina, Michelle, Steve--- I love them all.
Did you find it difficult balancing True Blood's schedule against Bold and the Beautiful's?
No. I love a great challenge. It was difficult working it out at first and believe me, we all had our moments of angst, but, overall, it was doable. I have to thank Gregg Fineberg and Adam Dusevoir for their patience with me in dealing with the schedules. Beyond that, it was just left in my hands to stay awake!
Bold, Beautiful and Beyond
What’s next for Bridget on B&B?
Wouldn't we all love to know.... I think you'd have to interview Brad Bell for that one. A baby? Taking over the company? Going back to the hospital? (Oh my goodness, Bridget would never stray from Nick??? or...????)
You took over for Jennifer Finnegan, coming from a role over on Y&R – now when viewers think of Bridget, they think of you and not Jennifer, did you find that hard to take over from such a popular actress?
No. I stayed focused on the role and capturing the essence of Bridget. I wanted to make her my own.
Any chance of playing double duty again in a potential third season?
From your mouth to God's ears!
What dream role would you love to play on or off screen?
It's a great question, just hard to answer. I am content for today, but get restless often; looking forward to the next role in life, be it real life, or on screen.
