All My Children Family Tree

An All My Children family trees provide fans with the family ties and histories of their favorite characters. Numerous families make up the population of Pine Valley. Central families include the Chandlers, Cortlandts, Kanes, Martins and more.

J.R. Chandler is the product of two central families on AMC.

All My Children Family Trees

Many of the show's central families have married into each other, producing offspring of multiple families. In other cases, children of one family were adopted into another. Independent characters, those not connected to a central family, can add their own family trees.

Kane Family Tree

The Kane family tree begins with Eric Kane and his wife Mona. Their marriage produced Erica Kane (Susan Lucci). Eric's affair with Maureen Dalton also produced Erica's brother Mark Dalton. Mark's affair with Elizabeth Carlysle resulted in a child: Julie. Julie would go on to be adopted by Ross Chandler (who was also related to the Cortlandts) and Ellen Tucker. Ellen later married Mark.

Although much married, Erica has only three children. Daughter Kendall is the product of a rape that occurred when Erica was just 14 years old. Kendall has been married four times, once to Anton Lang and three times to Zach Slater. Kendall has two sons: Spike Lavery (a product of artificial insemination) and Ian Slater (with husband Zach Slater).

Erica's son Joshua Madden is the product of her marriage to Jeff Martin. Erica's abortive attempt to end her pregnancy resulted in the fetus being stolen by her doctor who then implanted the fetus in his wife.

Bianca Montgomery completes the bottom portion of the Kane family tree. The product of her marriage to Travis Montgomery, Bianca is the only child Erica raised from infancy. Bianca has two daughters: Miranda (Michael Cambias) and Gabrielle (Zach Slater). The first was a product of rape and the second was Zach donating sperm so that Bianca's children would share similar DNA.

Cortlandt Family

Palmer Cortlandt heads up the Cortlandt family. Born Pete Cooney, Palmer changed his name with his financial situation. His affair with Charlotte Chandler produced son Ross Chandler. Palmer later married Daisy who gave birth to daughter Nina. Nina's two sons with Cliff are Bobby and Michael Warner. Palmer also married Opal Purdy (Tad Martin's birth mother) and together they had Petey.

Also in the Cortlandt family tree are Palmer's nieces and nephew via his sister Bess. Will Cortlandt (deceased), Dixie Cooney Martin and Melanie Cortlandt. Dixie's children and grandchildren include son J.R. Chandler, his son, Adam Chandler III and daughter Kate with Tad Martin.

Martin Family Tree

The Martins are one of the largest and most influential families in Pine Valley. Matriarch Kate Martin passed away in the mid 80s. Her son Dr. Joe Martin still heads up the Martin family with his wife Ruth. Joe's first marriage to Helen produced children Jeff, Bobby and Tara.

Tara married Phil Brent and produced Charlie Brent. Tara's later marriage to Jeff Jefferson produced daughter Kelsey who shared a child with Bobby Warner (Cortlandt family) and their son Sam was adopted by the Greys. Jeff's son with Erica is Joshua Madden. Son Bobby disappeared into the Martin family attic never to be seen again.

Joe and Ruth Martin adopted son Tad who shares son Jaime with Brooke English, daughter Kate with Dixie Cooney and daughter Jennifer with Krystal Carey. Joe and Ruth also shared son Jake Martin.

Chandler Family Tree

The Chandler family is even more complicated. Identical twins Stuart and Adam make up the center of the family. Stuart married Cindy Parker in the 80s and adopted her son Scott as his own. Adam has multiple children with multiple women including: Skye Chandler, Hayley Vaughn, Adam Chandler Jr (and grandson Adam Chandler III), Anna Chandler (deceased) and Colby Chandler. Their sister Charlotte is the mother of Ross Chandler.
