Why Fans Love All My Children
When Agnes Nixon's soap opera about Pine Valley, PA premiered on January 5, 1970, people were instantly hooked to the saga of the willful Kanes, the influential Chandlers and the well-meaning Martins. Everyone wanted to know more about the adventures of Erica Kane, played by iconic soap actress Susan Lucci, and watched her go from supermodel to mother to talk show host.
This is the type of soap opera that appeals to viewers of all ages. Mothers sat with children on their laps and watched Erica's daughter, Kendall, come to town and find her own adventures in romance and the cosmetics industry. AMC became a leading soap opera because of the quality writing, interesting plots and talented actors. AMC is known for creating plots with topical social issues such as war, homosexuality, and drug addiction. The soap opera also has characters to appeal to viewers of different ages and social interests. Today AMC continues to be an award-winning soap opera with a loyal fan base of all ages.
AMC fans who long to connect with other fans can make lasting friendships through an All My Children discussion group. Carol, thanks for visiting Love To Know Soap Operas. Love To Know is not directly related to AMC, but breaking up Kendall and Zack is about the drama. Hopefully they will get them back together asap.
-- Contributed by: HVLongWhy are you breaking up Kendall and zack? They are my favorite couple. Are you going to make Kendall like Erica( I like Erica) But I'd like to see Kendall and zack as an interesting couple. I love them together. Don't mess with their parts. Zack has a casino and a lot of stories could come out of the casino with Kendell and zack as great partners. Get Greenlee Back?
